Dflat,
I've tried basically what you said and posted details in the sandbox in a new thread titled "Importing crash song", with "importing crash" tag, including the song itself. But no luck. I'll...
Hi dflat, apologies for excessive posting.
I'm just using my iPad2, with IOS 7 and iReal Pro latest version 5.0.4 . To test backup procedures:
I downloaded the Latin 50 playlist, displayed the...
When I email backups from my iPad back to myself some songs, e.g. 11 y 6 (Euforia) from Latin 50 playlist, result in the importing error "file cannot be opened". These HTML files have black or blue...
Most songs backup but some don't, e.g. 11y6 (Euphoria) from the Latin 50. Just try it - editing it makes no difference. Looks like a software bug.
I have this same problem emailing backups to myself on iPad. If the HTML attachment text is white on black it works. But if the text is black on white, iReal Pro cannot open the file and the text...
I'm using iReal Pro 5.0.4,,and have always accepted the latest iOS updates for my iPad2. The "backup" thread I joined didn't say it was in the Android forum, so didn't know. Can you still help? -...
I'm only using an iPad, and don't see any options for Android. Will check iReal Pro version if I can.
Have tried many times now. If the HTML attachment is white text on a black background - it works. But if it is black or blue text on a white background - the file cannot be opened. And the coding...
Strange - when I tried a playlist list of only one song, it worked. The error message I had before was "file could not be opened". And the html code looked different, with many square symbols, but...
When I exported my playlist via email for backup, I received the backup email with html attachment. I clicked the open in IReal Pro symbol, and iReal Pro said it was importing. But it always crashes,...
Whoops - The YouTube version I found was obviously not Tony Rice, but an inferior banjo arrangement. Will keep looking for the real McCoy. I like the tune and play it on a 4 string banjolin.
This song won an Academy award for best original song, and appeared the the Western film Paleface in about the 40s. But I barely recognised It from Tony Rice's playing - sorry. Just check out the...
Oh well, I've given in to the E chord in the 4th bar of the verse - nearly everyone uses it. But everywhere else, the G chord seems to fit the tune better. The Iron Ridge band on YouTube play a nice...
OK, I'll admit it. The D chord doesn't fit either - just leave it out, or use another G there instead.
Here's the tune with corrected A chords:
Old Joe Clark (As Sung) - Traditional
Sorry for my A chord mistake posted before - it should be A major. I now know why I was fooled into thinking the A chord was minor. It's the G note which gives the tune it's minor feel, which is...
Old Joe Clark (As Sung) - Traditional
Well, I've pasted my chords for Old Joe Clark. Hope it works.
In the key of Am, the E chord just doesn't sound right to me, anywhere for the non-instrumental, old time, song versions I've heard. It seems mostly Am and modal G, plus one D chord I've put in the...
