I notice there's now a newline button next to the note window, I think that's right, on the osX version anyway. It simply writes \\ as text. However, it doesn't seem to do anything, I've tried...
On The Sunny Side Of The Street Simplified - Jimmy McHugh
While I'm posting to the Jerry Garcia thread I might as well continue with a couple more. The first is Russian Lullaby, which works quite well:
Russian Lullaby - Irving Berlin
Then there's...
Here's a version of Tennessee Jed, not too bad in terms of chords, but the rhythm isn't right, I'm using Jazz - slow swing at 115bpm
Tennessee Jed - Hunter - Garcia
Enjoy
It's a version someone inspired by Julian Lage and Chris Eldridge (search on YouTube there are at least 3 versions, each different, each wonderful). Hope you enjoy:

Thanks for the option o trick, useful because my mac (laptop) has no o with line through.
Pressing 'o' is the shortcut for dim, is there a shortcut key for half-dim instaed of typing m7b5?
All these are variations on a theme and this particular one came, in part, from an online tutorial from Jamie Holroyd, though altered. If it helps, in number notation, it's a 14114 #4...
I've a song for which the style Pop - Rock 12/8 works well. However, I only seem able to choose that style from the player view. If I'm editing the song there is no style Rock 12/8, in fact there...
Actually, that version isn't quite right on a few counts, it downloads as bluegrass, an intriguing notion, but not exactly faithful to Martha and the Vs interpretation. Then there are only 14 bars...
Other than I think they play in F# and I have it in G I think it's not too bad.
Love Hurts - Boudleaux Bryant
A kind of swing version a la Dean Martin stylee of a seasonal classic. I've added a repeated end part so you sing 'walkin in a winter wonderland, walkin in a winter, walkin in a winter, walkin in a...
Otis Redding version
I've put this in D instead of the Db, just because. Not sure if I've got the changes of time correct but it feels right, I think:

very helpful as always Bob, thank you.
When I'm editing a song I can choose "calypso" but the player just shows Jazz - Medium Swing and Calypso isn't an option, at least on the Mac. Any suggestions how to force calypso or of a closer...
Could I ask for clarification on your edit of my Mississippi Half-step chart you edited? Much better use of space and layout but where the Am repeats for four bars I had:
Am | % | % | % |
which...
I've put a drum intro for a couple of bars then the simple chord pattern (B to A) before the verse for a bit of improv. Although the verse is just B to A repeated 6 times I've written it out in full...
Hello Bob
I've only just noticed this reply of yours, thank you very much indeed for the help, very much appreciated.
Rob
It would be very useful to be able to add lyrics to a song, even in a separate window or pane (since with repeats and such like having them appear beneath the chords would be, I'm sure, much too...
The ability to edit a chord shape and give it a name or link it to an existing name would be very useful and, having chosen chord inversions in the play window, to have those saved with the song.
A slightly different take on it, and in Em too though the original is, as DaleMac has it, in Am.
Love Potion No 9 (The Clovers) - Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller
As a man singing it I'm not quite convincing when singing about 'my baby' that: "Liz Taylor is not his style, and even Lana Turner's smile" but this alternative scans well:
"Brad Pitt is not her...
Changes by Alan Price (from Oh What A Lovely War)
I think this is largely right(ish), though it might be more the Hugh Laurie version, please correct it if you wish.
Changes - Alan Price
It's such a pity there isn't a way to add alternative fingerings to the bank of chord diagrams. Even a simple chord like D7 has only fingerings for nut, bar on fret 5, bar on fret 10, and bar on...
