This version is the same but easier to read and cleaner, with a mistake edited and a dubious bassline removed.
It's A Jungle Out There by Randy Newman
I started from Steve R's version and (I hope) improved some of the chord changes over the chromatic bass lines.
Great song, thanks Steve.
It's A Jungle Out There
Nice refinements, thanks Stefan!
By the way, I just love the ways he brings anxiety into the music.
- The harmonic rhythm starts slow but gradually accelerates
- The diminished chord progressions seem to cringe
- The key keeps modulating up by a fourth, (using those tricky dim7 progressions)
leading to tension that never quite resolves since it remains higher by a fourth than it began (Cm to Fm)- The key changes seem to be Cm (-> C7) -> Fm (-> F7) -> Bbm (-> G7 -> C7) -> Fm
Thanks it is verry nice
