I've noticed that every time there is a chord on a 4th beat, and that same chord is the same on the next beat (next bar), the player always repeat the chord (play again the same chord on the downbeat of the next bar).
It would make more sense if the chord could hold until the 2nd beat (or just not be played right on the downbeat. It could also resume playing the pattern on the upbeat instead)
