Repeats signs and form for playback

When I edit an existing chart I'm having trouble getting the playback to follow the repeat signs, 1st and 2nd endings correctly. It seems like one time the ending will repeat back correctly but the next time it will skip all the way to the beginning and miss the facing repeat sign completely.
