I downloaded iRealPro app from apple store to my desktop comp

how can I get it to also work on my MacBook?

You can install into your MacBook directly from the Mac App Store. iReal Pro should show in your Apple account Purchases.
The current version will install into MacOS 10.13 High Sierra or higher.

no it doesn't! I purchased irealpro on my iPhone; I would have liked to have it on my Mac Book computer also but you have to purchase again!!

Even though the app has the same features (Android version, iOS and Mac), each run on a different OS, so is coded and tested independently. The Mac App Store and iOS App stores are separate.
