Ribbons Down My Back from Hello Dolly is perhaps a bit of an under-appreciated song.

The version from the movie sung by Melissa Stafford (and lip-sync'ed by Marianne McAndrews) is cheery and bland.

Eileen Brennan in the original Broadway production is a bit heavy-handed, but her operatic handling of it is beautifully emotional.
