Where's my post

I'm totally confused. I've never participated in on-line forums before. I posted a question a few days ago and I don't see it listed anywhere. When I log in it shows me as 1 of 2 members currently online (it also lists a number of "guests"). When I go to my profile it shows the post I entered but I still don't see it listed under any forums or new posts....What am I missing?

I think I figured this out. I posted from my profile and it was sent as a "visitor". that is probably why. I'm going to try again posting from within a forum.
