Yves Montand version (original, including verse):
Autumn Leaves (Les Feuilles Mortes) (Yves Montand) - Joseph Kosma
Ruth Etting version (first recorded version - 1928):
Love Me Or Leave Me (Ruth Etting) - Walter Donaldson
Hello everybody,
I found pretty interesting leadsheets here... but (as far as I scanned them alright) none of them giving the chords for the french intro verses "Oh je voudrais tant ...". Here is a youtube of Yves Montand singing them:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRAmyqFi1aY
I did my very best to create a proper leadsheet (just of the intro... not of the song). I am a total beginner in iReal pro... can I post my leadsheet here? I can anyway post a picture of it... I hope the attachment works. you might notice oddities such as extra bar lines at the line ends that I could not get rid of... perhaps somebody might tell me how to do and/or correct my leadsheet.
Best regards
Chris

The “best” answer for your situation depends on your specific chart.

Hello,
Thank you Bob for your advices. I am new to this and I am not professional into music so I don't have much time to work into iRp and all the iRP forum rules... I hope I got the main idea: add the iRp format. And yes: it is messy. To me, iRp leadsheet editing is not intuitive at all and I surely missed essential basic things. The chart that I first submitted (erroneously) as a jpeg works at least on the "auditory level": I can use it as a play along for the Yves Montand intro to Feuilles mortes.
To get all information at a single place let me submit once more the youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRAmyqFi1aY
The proposed chart is about the first minute, say up to 1:12.
And now I add the iRp format of the song... as a separate message. I was not able to do it in a single message.
Best regards
Chris
Feuilles Mortes Intro - Kosma
Good work.
I condensed your chart so it could be easily added to the top of the song’s chart.

Best to start new charts using one of the built-in templates instead of a blank page.

“All of Me” (1931) by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons, was introduced on radio by vaudeville singer Belle Baker in 1931; shortly before that performance she had lost her husband and broke down weeping while singing the song.
This version from Ruth Etting includes the hard to find verse.
You took my kisses and you took my love
You taught me how to care
Am I to be just a remnant of
a one side love affair
All you took I gladly gave
There's nothing left for me to save
All of me…..
To emphasize the sad nature of her version she sings a blue-note in the 12th bar of the verse. She repeats this at the end of the tune substituting a iv (Bb-) for the V (C7).

Chet Baker version (including verse):
That Old Feeling (Chet Baker) - Brown-Fain
Verse
Last night I started out happy
Last night my heart was so gay
Last night I found myself dancing
In my favorite cabaret
You were completely forgotten
Just an affair of the past
Then suddenly something happened to me
And I found my heart beating, oh, so fast
Note: the verse in this version is instrumental (played by the trumpet, not sung)
Thanks so much for this post. Can’t agree more that we’re missing out the great composing that went into many jazz standards. I’m just learning how to edit Ireal Pro but, as I do, I’ll start sharing them.
