General
- Although chord progressions are not subject to copyright we received a take down notice, and being a small independent developer we don’t have the means to fight the cause, so we decided to remove all songs from the app.
- The “Book” part of the app name started to become limiting given all the new features of the app.
- “Real Book” is owned by somebody else and we don’t want to cause confusion.
See above. To find all the old iReal Book songs and many more, navigate to the iReal b forums on your device (with iReal b installed) and find the song list you wish to import. Tap on the link containing the playlist and it will be imported to your song library.
Also, iReal b for iOS has a short video tutorial on how to import songs from the Forums.

We use standard chord notation. See this wikipedia article.
Feel free to post your suggestions in the iReal b Forums in the appropriate thread.
This is currently not possible.
No. Currently there is no way for users to create their own accompaniment styles.
You can transpose the song using the built-in editor and change the undesired enharmonics manually. Refer to the instructions in the online manuals and the video tutorials on how to use the editor.

Starting from iReal b 4.1 your device will need at least iOS 4.0
When setting up or restoring an iPhone, iTunes will give you a choice to restore to a previous back-up or set up the device as a new device. If you set it up as a new device none of your old data will be transferred over.
One solution is to restore again, but this time to the previous back-up with the old data.
Another solution is to download songs from the Forums and/or from your own back-ups.

It probably means that there have been some changes on your iTunes account since your original purchase.
Uninstalling the app and repurchasing it directly from the App Store on your device (no charge as long as you use the same iTunes account) should fix the problem. Make sure you backup your songs before uninstalling because they will be erased unless you didn’t edit or add your own songs in which case it’s easier to import the songs directly form the forums.

No. iOS and Mac are two separate platforms. No app will run both platforms. Each platform has their own app store and we currently cannot offer multi-platform discounts.

Make sure your order went though in Google Wallet. If all seems ok, you can try deleting the app and then reinstalling it. If that doesn’t work, contact us to cancel and refund your purchase – you will need to send the purchase receipt. You can then try to make the purchase again.

Due to copyright issues the app underwent a major overhaul and was also re-named. During this time, it was also redeveloped significantly with extensive new abilities and features such that we feel the new iReal b is essentially a different and completely new app. This process (not to mention the ongoing support, research and upgrades) involved many months of hard work and we would hope that the efforts of the Technimo team are worth something. Look at it this way – for the cost of two beers, you’ll get many years of awesome practicing.
Since the release of iReal b, the original iReal Book is no longer available on the Android Market. Contact us with your proof of purchase and we’ll send you the app via email.
