AABA template with a full 32 bars:
Tempate 32 bars AABA by Unknown Composer
Hi Craig,
Here's an alternate version of a 32 bar AABA form using repeat bars and 1st and 2nd endings:
Tempate 32 bars AABA (alt) by Unknown Composer
I made my own templates by entering a series of "blank" songs in my iPod tune list. It only took me a few minutes. Each has only plain bar lines (except for the start) I can choose which song to "edit a copy of..." and start with a blank tune containing 12, 16, 20, 28, 32, (or 64 2-beat bars). I decide, based on how I want to present the tune and its length, which template to select, then fill in the chords, and easily add rehearsal marks, repeat bars and endings wherever appropriate. Then I quickly delete any left over bar lines.
I added a "z" to the beginning of the "title" of each of my templates " so they are all conveniently filed at the bottom of my main alpha menu. You could also use a playlist for templates so they'd all be in one place.
irb is really easy and useful.
