Sounds great! Thanks for adding it!
And while we're at it, here's a list that I've compiled a while ago of all the missing chords that would be needed in IRP. Those chords below can't be emulated by using slash chords:
C2(Maj7) or CMaj9(omit 3): 1, 2, 5, 7 (can be used to play a Gsus(add3)
C(#4): 1, 5, 3, #4
C(b5): 1, 3, b5
Cm13: 1, b3, 5, b7, 9, 11, 13
Cm(add9): 1, b3, 5, 9 (for pop/rock/folk)
Cm7(add11): 1, b3, 5, b7, 11
Dim(Maj7): 1, b3, b5, 7
Cm7(add13): 1, b3, 5, b7, 13
C-9(add13): 1, b3, 5, b7, 9, 13
C7(omit 3): 1, 5, b7 (for blues/rock)
C (bass): 1
CMaj13(#11): 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, #11, 13
C(b9): 1, b9, 3, 5 (for flamenco)
C13b9(#11): 1, b7, b9, 3, #11, 13
CMaj7sus: 1, 4, 5, 7

That's a lot of unusual chords.
I will slowly go through the feature request posts and see if there are chord qualities that many people are asking for.
I won't clutter the editor with obscure chords that would only benefit a coupe of people.

Yes, of course, priority should be to the most used ones. This list is just for information. Some of those chords are genre specific (flamenco, blues, fusion,...)
This is the result I came up with after transcribing about 2000 tunes in all styles. Those chords are the ones where I couldn't find any substitute in the library to reproduce the same harmonic sound.

The Diminished Major 7th chord is now available for testing in the iOS beta on TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/s0ijUrAi
Coming in the next Mac beta soon and to Android sometime early in the new year.

Diminished major 7th chords are now also available in the latest beta version of iReal Pro for Android.

Looks very nice, great work!
I have one question regarding the new added chords: What happens if I share a chart that includes the new chord to a device that is still running the previous version of IRP?
-
It will show up as an unrecognized chord type and won't play.

I understand. That makes sense!
I've tried the two new chords. They both sound great. The minor add 9 is definitely very welcome. I might use a bit less the diminished Maj7 since a G#dim Maj7 can also be emulated by using a G7b9/Ab. I guess the only difference is that the G#dim Maj7 doesn't have the F note. So I might use either one depending of the context.
I hope sometimes in the future we can also get the minor 13. This one cannot be emulated at all

Very interesting discussion... To me this sounds like Ab7#9.
Never saw this chord passing in the above discussion.
