I don't think its as 'trivial' as you think (you may be grossly overestimating your computer skills)
BESIDES the web text editor is not supported and does not work at all with iRealPro...(according to the warning on the website) So the issue is mute for anyone using the new program...
I stand by my contention changing the string was a control rather than technical issue.

I cut/paste songs between the web editor (Linux PC) and iRealPro (Android) frequently and despite the warning it hasn't failed me yet.

Oh, and I know how to read and write iRealPro (irealb://) data so I value my computer skills sufficient.

The web editor was discontinued and deprecated over 2 years ago.
It's now been removed completely.
